The Government Procurement Card (?the Card?) was introduced in 1997 as a convenient and cost-effective way to make low-value purchases. The objective of this exercise was to carry out a focused assessment of the controls for Government Procurement Cards in central government. This report does not provide an assessment of the value for money of procurement spending using the Government Procurement Card.
