Prof Chris Elliott was asked by the Secretaries of State for Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Dept of Health to carry out this independent review of Britain's food system in the light of the horsemeat fraud in 2013. The recommendations seek to enhance the UK?s reputation and develop effective barriers against fraudsters who operate here and abroad.
